One of the best parts of our job is to visit some quite astounding properties and visiting this was most certainly one of the very best experiences.
It's located on the ridge just above BoliqueIme and on arrival you are greeted with the most spectacular view! An uninterrupted vista stretching from Faro to well past Amarção de Pera but not that far away, so you can easily make out the various landmarks like a living breathing map.
In the evening as the lights come on it enters a new dimension. Imagine sitting by the pool on a warm summer evening being mesmerised by the lights below. It was difficult to tear ourselves away from this scenery to then feast on an absolutely magnificent house that lives up to those views.
Here we have a two story house with full sized basement set in a 2556 square meter plot with a swimming pool, all built to the highest standards of build, design and sophistication.
Entering the house, we are in the hallway. To the left we have the first of the generous six bedrooms, south facing, with large ensuite bathroom, fitted wardrobes, patio doors leading to its own terrace with those spectacular views, To the right the second bedroom equally large again, with ensuite and patio doors leading to its own terrace with views over the countryside.
In the centre you will be awestruck by the enormous lounge, dining room and kitchen with huge bifold doors over the pool and those stunning views.
The house naturally has the latest solar powered underfloor heating, but to give it that cosy feel there is an enormous and fabulous "log effect"gas fire set in the wall. The fire is double sided. Enjoying the other side of that fire is a most cosy, snug, chill out room, whatever you want it to be.
Led concealed lighting and neat and discrete electric sockets are set in the floor to give you the freedom of design. The kitchen dining area is very classy with copious storage, integral appliances and top quality worktops, and if the kitchen isn't big enough there's also a large utility room adjacent.
All the windows are top quality German manufactured with security glazing so no need for shutters.
Going back to the entrance hall, of course, there's a guest/service bathroom and a staircase to the first floor where we come to the third bedroom: generous, fitted wardrobes, ensuite bathroom, south facing patio doors to the balcony. OH! those views got even better!! Tearing ourselves away again we move along the corridor, overlooking the rear terrace with country side views, into a master Bedroom with a glass wall and those superb views! Very generous indeed with a large walk-in wardrobe, open plan design with the free standing, slipper style bath, separate WC and shower, a large balcony to sit and soak up and, I can't say it often enough.. that view.
The second master bedroom (5th bedroom) is equally large, with fitted wardrobes, ensuite bathroom and patio doors leading to the balcony and guess what else.... it begins with a V.
At the rear of the house is a further good sized room that enjoys its own private terrace with countryside views. Currently used as an exercise/ yoga room, this can be used as a 6th bedroom, a nursery, an office, a library, or it can be very easily combined with the second master bedroom to make something great even greater.
Down to the basement now, double electric door entrance and how many cars can you fit in here? At least five! If you don't have that many vehicles there's room for a bar, theatre/cinema room, GYM, you can get a full size snooker table in next to a table tennis table, no problem, oh and a really good-sized storage room, oh and another! There's also the systems room (this is a SMART house) smart electrics, prewired for WIFI, internet, sound system.
Outside, the portuguese calçada driveway leads (from the electric gates with video entry) to the garage with amazing huge stone blocks forming the perimeter wall. These blocks were excavated from the site. Parking is available for several cars. To the front of the Villa we have the southfacing 9 x 5meters saltwater swimming pool, extensive terrace and outdoor kitchen. Landscaped low maintenance gardens with irrigation systems are all around the Villa.
Energywise it's A grade, insulated and K rendered walls, its a Smart House but also has natural special clay internal walls that help the house regulate the humidity, a living breathing house.
